Buttermilk Bread.
Ingredients.
Warm Water - 1/4 cup
Butter-Milk - 1/2 cup
Sourdough Starter - 1/2 cup
Flour - 3 cups
Chopped Green Chilies - 1 cup
Dry Yeast - 1 packet
Baking Powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Ground Red Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Preparation.
Dissolve the Yeast in the Warm Water, and add the Butter-Milk, Sourdough Starter, Flour, Chopped Green Chilies, Baking Powder, Salt, Sugar, and Ground Red Pepper. Mix well until a smooth dough is formed, and set aside to rise for an hour. Then bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serves about 16.
