THE HIGHER TASTE

Plain Muffins.

Ingredients.
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons yogourt
1/4 cup melted vegetable shortening

Preparation.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar. Combine remaining ingredients; add to dry ingredients all at once.

Blend just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy).

Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 425° for 25 minutes.

Makes 12 plain muffins.
