Hare Krsna prabhus This is the first report on Srila Prabhupada's original books distribution. You are receiving it because you are involved in this transcendental distribution. This newsletter will be presented at the beginning of each month. Of course I would also invite you to share your achievements with other members and talk in your own words about that service to our beloved spiritual master, Srila Prabhupada. The very purpose of this newsletter is to encourage each other and create an atmosphere that will help us to increase the mass distribution of these wonderful books. There are several ways to spread this literature. I would like to share with you the one I have been going with for a long time. Over the time, I've collected here and there the names of people interested in the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness. Every month, I make a few hundred copies of a small leaflet that I ship by mail. On the cover page there is an article on philosophical subjects while on the other side there are books for sale that people can order by filling an attached form. This is a good way of doing things and over time I've been able to sell a few book sets in french Also on the same page readers are invited to make a donation. Usually, thanks to the sale of some books as well as some other items as gifts, it is possible to fund this little project. As I have previously said, every month I make a few hundred copies and I ship by mail about one hundred leaflets. The remaining leaflets are distributed in the mailboxes, in bicycle baskets as well as in phone boxes. Also I have recently started to distribute them on the benches in the nearby parks. This is a very fast way and sometimes I happen to see people reading this leaflet, which is really encouraging. Last week I met one of my neighbors with a leaflet in his hands. He knew it was mine and he smiled. Also some time ago I left some small books on the benches in the park and I filmed the people anonymously. I've carried on a french leaflet distribution for some years. Recently I've started too the distribution of the "On Chanting Hare Krsna" leaflet. I attach another small sheet inside the leaflet allowing people to buy the Guide to Self Realization DVD. Moreover, I will add soon a new small sheet to order for free a small book that people will get directly in their mailboxes. Thereafter, for each free book order, people will get the monthly newsletter with more offers to buy books. Over time, it will be possible to build a community of people interested in the philosophy of Krsna consciousness. This is simply a way among others to carry on the book distribution. It is worth trying as it leads to interesting results and of course it keeps us very active in our preaching work. Please, feel free to share with other group members your ideas, your suggestions and your achievements. Your participation and enthusiasm will help other members, thus increasing the distribution of Srila Prabhupada original books to the pleasure of our beloved spiritual master.
